MembershipPortal for WordPress · 0.2.0

Your website. Your membership community.

Bring live memberships, public events, publications and benefits into WordPress. Give members one sign-in and clear access to the content their membership includes.

Requires WordPress 6.6 or later, PHP 8.1 or later, and HTTPS for member sign-in.

Connect your organization

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP and activate MembershipPortal.
  2. Open MembershipPortal in the WordPress sidebar and copy the website address and sign-in callback.
  3. In your organization portal, open Connected services → WordPress. Create the connection and paste its connection code into WordPress.
  4. Add MembershipPortal blocks to a page. Choose access rules, then use Preview access to check the visitor and member experience.

New in 0.2.0

  • Updates through the standard WordPress plugin screen after this installation.
  • Safe visitor, current-member, expired-member and selected-benefit previews.
  • Paywalls that offer the appropriate sign-in, renewal or membership action.
  • Membership visibility and automatic account links in classic and block navigation.
  • Searchable event lists and calendars with calendar downloads.
  • A richer My membership block, renewable sign-in, and shared design controls.

MembershipPortal remains the source for memberships and billing. Only event and benefit descriptions approved for public viewing appear in public blocks.

Exclude protected pages and signed-in visitors from your host’s full-page cache. Menu visibility helps people navigate; protect the destination with content access rules.
